Instead of blogging

If I could post to my blog just by thinking about it, you all would be tired of reading. The past week or so have simply been too busy with ‘real life’, including a week off homeschool, so this is a quick post with a few random pictures I wanted to share.

On Easter afternoon we were blessed with the company of a fellow Looper family, Keith & Wendi and their three lovely daughters. We had never met before that day, but has anyone really ever met a Looper they didn’t like? Almost instantly the adults were deep in conversation while the children busily explored the playground. A couple of lost boys earned time outs; I can only assume that they were unimpressed by not outnumbering the girls as they usually do. Here are 7 out of 9 kids:

On Easter monday we had our egg hunt. Usually we’ve done it on Sunday afternoon, but this year we waited. Isn’t this the cutest picture of lost boys #3 & 4??

While Larry was taking a couple days off to recover from Easter, we also ‘went to town’ both for a museum field trip and for a Walmart run. Walmart with 6 kids is even crazier when you only go every other month or so!! They all have allowance burning holes in their pockets, but seldom manage to save enough to buy what they really want. Among other things we picked up a cheap plastic high chair, our old wooden one not having fit on the moving truck (we still have a trayless model, currently used by lost boy #4, but that doesn’t work well for the baby food stage). Lost boy #1 practiced his best Toolman grunts as he assembled the high chair under the supervision of his mechanically minded younger brother.

And finally, we’ve celebrated a couple of birthdays! Lost boy #5 turned 6 months old, and now has two teeth. This is one stage where they grow up too quickly!!
