Best laid plans, and all that. . .yes, well, this week was a wash. I have two words for that:
- Stomach
- Virus
Thankfully, we celebrated Twirly Girl’s 13th birthday a little early, on Monday. . .literally hours before the S.V. hit (and just for the record, only Baby Boy and I have fallen. . .but me and stomach and sick are just not a happy mix). So I have pictures to share with you, as soon as I can simultaneously sit upright and string together coherent thoughts. Otherwise, this whole week–school, cooking, cleaning, mending, all those things I usually do, to say nothing of working on family history–not done. I’ve napped, I’ve played Ticket to Ride on my iPod, I’ve read. . .oh! I did get another book read for the reading challenge, so there’s another post I need to write. Soon. I hope.
Now it’s time to fix lunch. . .and by the time that’s done, perhaps take another nap.
Sorry that the sickies have visited your house. I hope you’re well soon, and that it doesn’t make a round through all your family. Yay for all that nap time though! Sometimes a mama just needs to have a rest day and let all those capable people around her step in and fill her role. Too bad it has to happen when we’re sick and can’t really enjoy it though.
Oh, and as a side note, I absolutely love the background/theme that your blog has now. It makes me smile and my children love watching the worm drop down as I scroll.
Thanks! It seems Baby Boy and I are the only “victims” this time and yes, the nap time was nice in spite of the way I earned it. Now to catch up on everything else so that I can make time to catch up on blogging, too. . .
